Enrichment/Clubs
Casis is fortunate to have parents and teachers who offer additional opportunities for growth and learning.
Casis Times - The Casis Times is our student newspaper, created, edited and published by 4th and 5th grade students. Opportunities are available for students who want to report, take photos, draw cartoons and learn about layout and editing. For more information, contact Trish McConnico or Sara Marler.
Chess Club - The Chess Club will meet every Wednesday in the library form 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. beginning September 14th. 1st - 5th graders are invited to attend, all ability levels are welcome. Please contact Rita Stewart for more information.
Leadership Casis - All 5th grade students with an interest in community service, school service and school spirit are invited. We always need parent volunteers to help and assist. Parents pick up students at 4:00 p.m. in the circle driveway. We have planned a fun and rewarding year of activities. 4th & 5th Grade Book Club - Join us for good books and stimulating conversation. All interested 4th and 5th graders are welcome to attend. For more information regarding dates and times, please contact Shelley Kilday or Jennifer Foucher.
Math Pentathlon - The Casis Math Pentathlon Club is an after school math enrichment program open to all 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade Casis students. This program involves a series of interactive math games which help students learn creative problem solving skills, strengthens basic math concepts and skills, and increases student understanding of spatial, computational, and logical reasoning skills.
