Volunteer

The best way to learn more about Casis is to get involved. Click here to see PTA Volunteer Opportunities.

All Casis volunteers will need to complete a quick background check. Please click here to complete yours. In addition, you will need to print, read and sign the AISD Confidentiality and Access Agreement. Finally, please also review the Guidelines for Non-Teacher Supervision of Students at Casis and then sign the Confirmation of Training once completed.

If you have trouble reading or printing these forms, they are all available in the Casis front office.

Padres de Casis

Padres de Casis offers opportunities for Casis fathers to help with projects as needed around the school. For more information, visit their website or contact David Adams.

Partners in Education

The mission of Austin Partners in Education (APIE) is to create and foster effective community school partnerships that support and enrich student learning and success. APIE began in 1983 as a partnership between the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Austin Independent School District. The program encourages businesses, individuals and community organizations to get involved in AISD schools.

APIE has undergone an important reorganization effective June 1, 2004. Under this new structure, APIE will enhance its stature and fund-raising capability by becoming a legal entity under the Texas Uniform Unincorporated Non-Profit Association (TUUNA) Act. In addition, APIE will obtain a tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code.

Austin Independent School District (AISD) and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce (GACC) led the process of establishing the new organization and they retain certain governance powers. A Board of Directors will govern the business, properties, and affairs of the Association. There will also be a Coordinating Advisory Board, which includes several AISD and GACC representatives, and other members as may be selected by the Board.
